Producers and users of hydrogen, no matter if produced from renewable, such as through electrolysis, or fossil sources using steam methane reforming must ensure that the quality of the gas meets the specifications demanded by the market or the process where hydrogen is used. Precise determination of impurities in hydrogen is not only crucial for gas quality but also for the safety of the site and the process itself. ISO 14687 Part 2 defines the specification and quality of hydrogen if used in fuel cells.

What We Measure

Our instruments monitor hydrogen production processes such as Steam Methane Reforming (SMR), hydrogen generators or green hydrogen produced by electrolysis and offer protection from moisture contamination. Other applications include controlling impurities in hydrogen cooled generators, metal treatment processes or hydrogen filling stations where our dew-point and trace moisture transmitters are suitable due to their high-pressure capability of over 900 bar.

PST analyzers for applications where hydrogen is added to natural gas grids are all labelled “Hydrogen Ready”.
